Since Winter began I have had constant sinus and throat congestion. I blamed it on the weather. Today, I happened to go to the doctor for a routine follow-up on another medical issue. The doctor told me I should get a pneumonia shot as it had been nearly 5 years since the last time I got one. I said OK and the physician's assistant gave me the shot.
Within 15 minutes I noticed that I did not feel congested. No sniffles, no post-nasal drip, no coughing, no mucus. My nose and throat felt c-l-e-a-r. This continued for the next 8 hours, when I wrote this. Holy Moly, could the pneumonia shot have cured my sinus congestion? If so, it was a miracle! How long will it last? I don't know, Hopefully, for 5 years until I'm due for another shot. Or, if the cure is temporary, if it doesn't last long, I would like to get a pneumonia shot every month! Or every week!
